Port Xplore Travel is a Papua New Guinea–based booking desk for flights, stays, transport and guided tours — run by people who grew up on these islands, not a call centre reading off a script.
How We Got Here
The short version
Booking PNG was scattered across a dozen phone calls
Visitors chasing a village stay, a domestic flight, and a boat transfer usually needed a different email thread for each — half of them never confirmed until arrival. We built one checkout for all of it.
Every listing comes from a local operator
We don’t run our own hotels or boats. We work directly with guesthouse owners, licensed drivers, dive operators and village guides, and list what they actually offer — at their price, not a marked-up one.
Money reaches the people who earned it
A share of every village tour and homestay booking is paid directly to the hosting community — landowners, guides, cooks — the same day, not at the end of a season.

Who’s Behind It
Local guides, not a booking algorithm.
Every tour is led by someone from the region it covers — a highlands guide for the WWII trails, an islander for the reef crossings, a village host for the cultural stays. They set the pace; we just handle the checkout.
